1 May 2007: Here's the latest in our collection. It's a 1989 Suzuki GSX 600F Sports Tourer. Stuart has bought it so he can do some touring as well as normal everyday use.

The bike has been unused since October 2001 and as usual will need work doing on it.

Stu has contacted his insurance company and the bike will go on his classic bike insurance along with the GT 200.
1 May 2007 the above pics were taken the day the bike arrived, as you can see the fairings and exhaust are not fitted. Immediate work is to the throttle which is jammed open, and the front brakes that are seized on.
Left & below: 2 May 2007 The exhaust is on and the throttle has been freed. The next job is to charge the battery and see if she will run.
Below: 3 May 2007 I put part of the fairing on to give me more room in an already overcrowded garage. The battery is shot, but I jump started the bike and it sounds really sweet. Next job is a major service to sort out the brakes.
Stu has decided he wants to come to Scotland in four weeks time on the GSX. What was going to be a leisurely refurb is now a race to get the bike on the road in time.
21 June: Work has started on the front brakes and forks.
The forks have been stripped and rebuilt, with new seals.
The brake calipers are seized solid and are proving to be a nightmare.
27 June 07 the front forks are now back on the bike.
28 June: Now for the back end, this is the pits.
Everything is thick with old grease, oil and dirt.
Above left: 3 July Swing arm cleaned and repainted.

Above left: 4 July All the back end stripped away.

Left: Rear suspension refitted, brakes done and back wheel on.
Right: 5 July rear end complete
11 July: Almost finished. Jennifer pretending to go fast!
The bad news is the Vehicle   Licencing Centre have still got Stu's log book for the GSX, so he can't get it an MOT and tax in time to come to Scotland.
