A couple of pictures taken in Lancashire
Saddleworth Moor looking down on Yeoman Hey & Dovestones reserviors
Outside Jodrell Bank Radio Telescope, you can just see the telescope through the trees
Taken Febrary 09 just outside Uppermill, on the way back from a short ride. Over Saddleworth Moor to Meltham, across to Marsden and back via Diggle and Uppermill. First time out with the new clutch and rear shock.
15th March 09 at Langsett Reservior. Went over the A57 Snake Pass to Ladybower, then left through Strines to Langsett and back over the A628 Woodhead Pass. On the road from the A57 to Langsett I hit a bump in the road on a tight bend, the suspension compressed and the stand hit the ground. It dug in and lifted the back wheel off the ground, not recommended for the nerves.
Here's one for the album the picture on the left was taken on 18th April 1975. The one on the right was taken 25th May 2009, thirty four years between the two. They are both of the same guy, my old mate Andy. The left pic is probably one of the last rides we had together, before wives and houses and children arrived. The other pic is at Langsett, and it's the first time we had ridden together in over thirty years. After getting back in touch with each other a couple of months ago. The bikes are different my old (well it was new then) Suzuki GT380 M, has been replaced by the BMW R80 ST. Andy's Yamaha YDS 7 has been replaced by a Honda Transalp (at the moment). However if my GT380 B comes togather and Andy's RD350 gets on the road, who knows!
